WE INVEST IN ENTREPRENEURS AND SOCIAL INNOVATION, WITH A PRIORITY OF BENEFITING WOMEN AND YOUTH, PEOPLE IN RURAL AREAS AND PEOPLE WITH A DISABILITY.
Set up in 2010 as one element of the broad-based black economic empowerment transaction conducted by South African Breweries Ltd (SAB), the SAB Foundation is an independent trust that annually invests millions of rands towards developing entrepreneurship in South Africa and the benefit of the wider South African community.
We focus on providing funding for small, medium and micro-sized enterprises, in order to contribute to the economic and social empowerment of historically disadvantaged persons. This is done primarily by supporting entrepreneurship development and social innovation with a priority focus on providing opportunities within small, medium and micro-sized enterprises for women and youth, people in rural areas, as well as persons with disability.
THE SAB FOUNDATION THOLOANA ENTERPRISE PROGRAMME
Applications to this year’s Tholoana Enterprise Programme are now open. Through the programme, we invest in entrepreneurs who show the potential and commitment to grow a business and create jobs, providing them with seed-funding, business training, mentorship and assistance with access to markets.
